About

Sharon Lloyd is Senior Lecturer on the Media and Fashion Styling Programme, Southampton Solent University.  Her current research interests seek to interrogate decoration of the surface of the body - through art practice and design processes. The aim is to develop projects that integrate old and new technologies and seek new ways to approach the design and creation of make-up related products through the relationship between craft practices and advanced technology.

As Editor in Chief of online publication 5thCharacter, Sharon is keen to collaborate with academics who seek to visualise their work in a unique format.

Sharon is also a member of the Solent Stylist Research Collective - exploring the construction of image in the academic and creative domain.
